A Case of - Hortere Conseil
In Brittany, double shading screens are rarely used. In the south of France, around Montpellier, there is a greater need for shading and energy-saving screens. These are just a few of the unique characteristics of the French horticultural market.
Johanna Croissant from our French agent, Hortère Conseil, knows all about these specifics. Hortère Conseil is the secret behind ALWECO's success in France. Since we value working with Hortère Conseil, we’re excited to introduce them in this first edition of A Case of ALWECO.
“I maintain contact with Dutch suppliers,” Johanna explains about her role. “For each project, I gather technical specifications from the client and designers, then request quotes from Dutch construction and installation companies. I also manage communication throughout the project.”
Twenty projects since early 2019
“We have our own team that handles heating, electricity, and irrigation installations,” Johanna continues. “For everything else, we coordinate with our Dutch partners. ALWECO handles the screen installations for us. We were introduced to each other in 2018, and by early 2019, we had our first project together. Since then, we’ve completed around twenty projects.”
Not blaming, but solving
“Working with ALWECO is great,” says Johanna. “Everything runs very smoothly. The company isn’t too large, so communication remains transparent. ALWECO is reliable and resolves issues if something doesn’t go as planned. I really appreciate that. They don’t point fingers; they just solve the problem.”
Transparency and adaptation
“Another thing,” Johanna adds, “is that it’s not easy for Dutch companies to enter the French horticultural market. But based on our recommendations, ALWECO revisited and adjusted their strategy to fit the local situation here. And they’ve been successful! This can only happen with a good mutual symbiosis and transparency. It works very well.”
And as ALWECO, we couldn’t agree more. We are pleased to have such a great partner in Hortère Conseil in France and all the wonderful projects we’ve completed around Montpellier, Lyon, and Brittany. Here’s to the next twenty!
